  • Marriage is a sacrament of the Church. This church degines "marriage" as the exclusive covanental union of one man and one woman in which such is a lifetime commitment. A civil government's sanction of a union will be recognized as a legitimate marriage by the church only to the extent that it is consistent with the definition of "marriage" found in these Articles. Ephesians 5:25, 5:33, Genesis 2:22-24, Mathew 19:4-7, Hebrews 13:4-7, Mark 10:6-9.
  • Legitimate sexual relations are exercised solely within marriage. Hence, sexaul activities outside of marriage including but no limited to: adultery, premarital sex, homosexuality, and pedophilia are inconsistent with the teachings of the Bible and the Church. Further, lascivious conduct, transgender behavior, and the creation and/or distribution and/or viewing of pronography, are incompaticle with the biblical witness.

We recognize the following ordinances:

  • Baptism: The ordinance of Baptism by immersion in Water (Matt 28:19) shall be administered to all those who have repented of their sins and who have believed in the Lord Jesus Christ to the saving of their souls and who give clear evidence of their salvation. (Rom. 6:3-5, Col. 2:12)
  • The Lord's Supper: The ordinance of the Lord’s Supper is regularly observed as stated in the scriptures. We at First Christian Church feel that communion is a special part of our worship to our Lord and Savior and so we participate in communion every Sunday. (Luke 22: 19, 20 Ist Cor. 11:23-26)
